The ITU160 Gender Champions Initiative is a unique opportunity for young women passionate about digital development and digital transformation. Launched in celebration of the International Telecommunication Union’s (ITU) 160th anniversary, this initiative is a collaboration between the Government of Canada and ITU to support emerging female leaders in the digital space.
The program will select nine outstanding young women (ages 18–25) from around the world and provide them with a fully funded opportunity to attend prestigious global tech events in Geneva, Switzerland, from July 7–11, 2025. What the ITU160 Gender Champions Will Experience
As an ITU160 Gender Champion, selected participants will:

Eligibility Criteria
