The programme aims to support 185 startups and 37 innovation hubs nationwide with tailored training, mentorship, and investment readiness.
Since its inception, iHatch has supported over 50 startups, driving innovation in key sectors such as fintech, agritech, and health tech.

iHatch Hub Managers Upskilling Programme Details:
Are you a hub manager ready to amplify your impact? iHatch for Hubs is a groundbreaking initiative designed to upskill hub managers across Nigeria, providing them with the tools and resources to build thriving ecosystems.
For the first time, iHatch will directly support 37 hubs—one in each state and the FCT—to act as regional centres for innovation. This programme will empower hubs to:
- Build robust incubation systems to support startups locally.
- Develop strong regional ecosystems through partnerships and engagement.
- Enhance their operational and mentorship capacity.
- Access international exchange programmes to learn global best practices.
Hub Managers Training
- Innovation hub managers will undergo intensive training in the early phase of the programme, equipping them with tools, knowledge, and best practices to incubate and mentor local startups effectively.
- These hubs will learn startup incubation models, receive guidance on ecosystem development, and participate in international exchange programs to gain insights into global best practices.
- The programme is open to innovation hubs, across the 36 states and the FCT, whose managers have at least two (2) years of experience in startup support and innovation management, and demonstrate a commitment to developing the startup ecosystem

- Innovation Hub Training: Innovation hubs will undergo capacity-building sessions to enhance their ability to support startups with mentorship, facilities, networking, and funding access.
- Demo Day: Startups will pitch their ideas to investors and stakeholders, providing a platform to secure funding and forge strategic partnerships.
- Global Partnerships: The programme fosters international exposure for hub managers and startups, promoting scalability and innovation.
Key Target
According to the NITDA spokesperson, by the end of the programme, 90% of the startups will incorporate with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), while 80% of them will develop a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) ready for market testing.
- She added that 30% of the trained startups would secure investment from investors, grants, or partnerships facilitated by the program.
- The startups are expected to create 1,000 direct and indirect jobs through the startup and hub ecosystem.
